Amanda Konkin has a masters degree from the University of British Columbia. Her thesis project is titled Forum Theatre, Technology and Desire: An Investigation of Headlines Theatre’s Online Broadcasts. It researched the use of forum theatre techniques practiced by the Vancouver based Theatre for Living (Headlines Theatre) and the use of online broadcasts to integrate virtual audiences into the live theatrical experience.

Amanda presented at the Women in Animation Breaking the Glass Frame Symposium in Los Angeles in October 2018. Her paper focused on the impact of Lauren Montgomery’s work on modern superhero pop culture.
