The Switch was the world’s first transgender sitcom, created by and starring transgendered individuals. Amanda was a co-producer for the 6 x 22 minute episode First Season primarily responsible for UBCP Paperwork, Crew tax credit documentation, general crew management and overall coordination on the series.

Singer Sisters Inc was the recipient of a 10K Telus Storyhive Grant. As one of the producers on the short film, Amanda was responsible for budgeting, invoicing, preproduction scheduling and general crew management.

Dude, Where’s My Ferret, Producer (Short Film, Outsider Studios)

Dude, Where’s my Ferret? was an independently financed and distributed short film from director Alison Parker. Amanda was brought on to help Parker produce this iteration of her successful ferret based short films (Santa’s Little Ferrets, The Magic Ferret), focusing primarily on crew management and paperwork as well as assisting with the indiegogo campaign for the film prior to production.

Silk’s pilot episode was the recipient of a 10K Storyhive grant. Amanda worked with Trembling Void as a producer on the film, focusing on UBCP paperwork, coordination and crew management.

New episodes of Blank Verse were posted every week from Sept-Dec 2013, and Ben’s Vlog was a twice weekly spin off that was available in March/April 2014. Amanda Konkin created the series and concept, bringing on different writers and directors to tackle the individual episodes. She also worked with Laura McLean (director for Act 3 and Ben’s Vlog) to develop extensive companion content for the series, including character run twitter accounts, an online newspaper and video series for the fictional Bankside University Newspaper the Messenger Speech, and a blog run by Will Shakespeare. The prologue episode for the series, which Amanda wrote and directed, has over 10,000 views on youtube.
